Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all registrations, participation and services in connection with Run & Fun. By registering, participants accept these GTC.


Registration and conclusion of contract 

Registration is done online via the Run & Fun registration form. The contract comes into effect upon confirmation of the registration by the organiser.

The participation fee is payable on the day of the event.  


Entry requirements

By registering, participants confirm:

  • that they are physically fit to take part in the run/walk

  • that they are able to assess the route and requirements for themselves

  • that children may only take part with the consent of their legal guardians

The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to individuals for safety reasons.


Cancellation of the contract or rebooking 
Withdrawal from the contract is generally not permitted, except:

  • if the event is cancelled by the organiser

  • in the event of double bookings or technical errors

It is possible to transfer the booking to another person, provided that we are notified in good time.


Cancellation or change to the event 

The organiser reserves the right to amend or cancel the event for valid reasons, e.g.:

  • extreme weather conditions

  • regulatory requirements

  • security risks

In the event of cancellation, no participation fees are due on the day of the event. Any further claims (e.g. travel or equipment costs) are excluded.


Disclaimer

Participation is at your own risk.

The organiser is not liable for:

  • Accidents, injuries or damage to health

  • Theft or loss of personal belongings

  • Damage caused by force majeure

The organiser is liable only in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.


Safety and Conduct 

Participants undertake to:

  • follow the instructions of the staff

  • show consideration for other participants

  • stay on the marked route

  • not carry any dangerous objects

Violations may result in exclusion.


Photographs and video recordings 

Photographs and videos may be taken during the event. These may be used by the organiser for the following purposes:

  • Website

  • Social media

  • Reporting

  • Future event promotion

Anyone who does not wish to be photographed should notify the organising committee on site.


Data protection

The event’s separate privacy policy applies. Personal data will only be used for the purposes of running the event.


Insurance 

Participants are responsible for their own insurance. Accident and third-party liability insurance is recommended.


Applicable law and jurisdiction 

Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is the organiser’s registered office -> Langenthal.
